She is the certified queen of bouncing back! After hitting rock bottom following the Covid-19 pandemic - losing three properties, Lethabo "Lejoy" Mathatho has bought herself a mansion worth over R3 million.
DOWNGRADING
The Real Housewives of Johannesburg star opened up about how after the COVID-19, she hit rock bottom, losing cars, properties, her branding and printing business. She shared how the "black tax" and family obligations took a toll on her mental well-being. "I was renting where I was staying," she said in an interview. While this was happening, she continued to show reality TV and exposed her vulnerabilities. "When the person who takes care of everyone is down, who do they run to?"
LETTING GO
While dealing with financial issues, she also had a family to take care of. "I was dealing with black tax, despite my situation," she said. The challenges forced her to downgrade and let go of some of her assets and open up to her family about the changes.' But in no time, Lejoy bounced back, bagged a primetime slot on Thobela FM as host, runs a successful slimming tea business, the Lejoy Foundation and an Alkaline Water business. The reality TV star has now purchased a new home West of Johannesburg worth more than R3 million. "Never doubt God! A year of restoration," she said.
