He went fine dining at an upmarket restaurant in the north of Johannesburg, his regular spot. Reality TV star Tebogo Ramokgadi started feeling weak and almost collapsed. He was rushed to get medical attention at the hospital, where he learnt he had food poisoning.
POISONED
He told ZiMoja he doesn't think the incident happened due to the food at the restaurant but feels like it triggered whatever has poisoned him. "I was feeling a bit woozy even before, but I just thought it was because I was tired, so after I ate, I felt worse,' he said.
RELOCATING
Following the poisoning incident, he feels he can no longer live in South Africa. "This country doesn't appreciate me and my contribution. I want to leave,' he said. "I've been thinking about relocating to the Seychelles, as I know a few millionaires there," Tebogo said. He celebrated his birthday in the Seychelles last year. He said after the food poisoning incident, powerful people from the Seychelles called to say he is welcome there anytime. "They even want me to assist with the entertainment part there. But I told them that I can if I work closely with the government there. I love the Seychelles because it's very peaceful and godly there. I've been toying with the idea, but I now accept the invitation," he said. Tebogo suspects foul play. "I have my suspicions. But I am leaving; at least there I won't be as popular as I am here in South Africa,' he said.
