An up-and-coming artist, Khutsi Sdumane, has accused veteran musician and producer Dr Malinga of stealing his song. 

Khutsi claims that he is saddened that his hero, whose real name is Goodwill Malinga, 45, did not even bother to credit him on his song when he released it. 

MEETING AT HIS LODGE

He said he visited Dr Malinga, who is known for crazy dance moves at his lodge in September last year. 

Dr Malinga, who is known for the hit single Casanova, was with his producer when he met with Khutsi at the time. 

He said, "I met Dr Malinga together with the producer last year in September at his lodge and praised him for his song Siyophumelela and told him I have it on my phone and play it on repeat in my car everyday. I also told him about my song Mo Fe Chelete and told him I wrote it similarly to his lyrical delivery." 

What followed the visit, was for Khutsi to hear his song allegedly stolen by Dr Malinga.

LOSING RESPECT FOR HIM

He is still puzzled how they managed to get hold of his new track which he had not yet released. Instead, Khutsi has lost all the respect he had for Dr Malinga, the owner of Linga Entertainment. 

He said he treated the Boko Haram hit-maker as his hero in the music industry for discovering new talent. 

Khutsi has also supplied ZiMoja with the song done by Dr Malinga when he visited the studio and the one he had "stolen". 

He said: "I don?t know when or how him and producer linked up, but I am disappointed and saddened that they redoing the song and my version has been deleted. I was hoping as a veteran that Malinga would do the right thing and at least credit me for writing the song. But they are going are ahead with the song and seem excited."

Called for comment, a furious Dr Malinga told ZiMoja not call him.

"Please respect me, I don't work for newspapers. I am from gigs and you're busy calling me," he said without commenting about the matter at hand.
