The year 2024 had its ups and downs for Gogo Skhotheni, real name Tumi Motsoeneng. Her relationship with her husband has been on and off, following abuse allegations, and the two lost their child, who struggled with his health since birth. But Gogo Skhotheni is starting the year 2025 with a new business venture.

BUSINESS

The sangoma announced that she is now into the nightclub business with the launch of Club Cavo in partnership with two business associates located in Maboneng Precinct, downtown Johannesburg. "Maboneng has a certain vibe that people love, and it was just the most appealing place for me to socialise with my fans,' she said. "We prayed, sa phahla (communicated to ancestors), and worked hard to make sure the club is a success,' he shared.

MAKING SENSE

Being a DJ, Gogo Skhotheni said an entertainment business made sense. "I love music; me being a DJ only made sense to get into the clubbing scene.' After losing her son last year, she believes her faith has been restored, and she is a much stronger person. "I don't wish that on anyone. It has made me a better person and my faith stronger. There's nothing I can't achieve.' She most recently had another fallout with Sangoma Gogo Maweni, and they have been at each other's necks for years. "I am focusing on myself, and no amount of hate can bring me down.'
