They say never put your eggs in one basket, which means one should not concentrate all your energy, efforts, and resources in one area in case you lose everything. Actress Asanda Foji has nailed the saying as she has ventured into the world of DJing.

The rise of female deejays has had much negative feedback and many claim, they are talentless gimmicks but Asanda is destined to prove everyone wrong. She calls herself DJ Prayze and plays a variety of sounds from Afro tech, Amapiano to house music.

NEVER TOO OLD

Born in the 1980s, she said one can never be too old to follow their passion. "People will always have something to say, it's important to do what you love at all times,' she said. "Do what brings you joy.' Music keeps her joyful and happy and has always been a part of her life. "I am an actress and music and performance are part of the arts."

ACTING

After leaving Generations in 2015 and finding out in newspapers that she was about to get axed, Asanda moved to the Netherlands where she lived for a few years with her now husband. They got married in 2022 and she tried to find acting roles before posting her online self-tapes. "Acting is a challenging industry and finding roles is not easy, but I've never given up,' she said.
