Influencer and reality TV star Inno Morolong can breathe a sigh of relief after the Randburg Magistrate's Court dropped some of the charges laid against her by her former friend and fellow influencer, Tebogo Thobejane. The two were back in court today, where Inno faced charges of crimen injuria and defamation of character for allegedly calling Tebogo old in April. This comes just over a week after Inno was found guilty by the same court in another matter also opened against her by Thobejane.
VICTORY FOR INNO
According to a source who was in court today, Thobejane opened a case against Inno in April after Inno allegedly said that she had swollen ankles because she is old. The case was thrown out of court as the court said Thobejane's evidence was weak and without corroboration.
NOT YET FREE
Morolong is not off the hook yet. She will be back in court on 14 January 2025 for mitigation of sentence in the 2023 matter she was found guilty of. In March last year, the Diamond & Dolls star went on a rant on Instagram Live, alleging that Thobejane is a scammer, sex worker and pimp and uses muthi. Tired of cyberbullying, Thobejane then opened a case against Morolong, citing that she was pitting her against her family, friends and business associates. Thobejane told ZiMoja that though this particular matter was dropped, she is optimistic justice will prevail when the first matter goes back to court next year. Inno refused to comment on the matter.
