Radio and TV personality Bonang Matheba is set to return to the small screen with her YouTube reality show, B'Dazzled by Bonang


A BIG COME BACK


Known as Queen B, Matheba who has a 20-year track record in the entertainment industry is making a big comeback with the revamped version of her reality show. She confirmed the news in an interview with ZiMoja. The six-part series, produced in collaboration with her boyfriend, David Phume's company, Cake Media, will premiere on Monday 29 July on SABC 3. According to Matheba, the show will offer viewers a glimpse into her work and personal life and aims to showcase a more vulnerable side of Bonang that audiences have not seen before.


A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS


Sources close to the situation revealed that her boyfriend played a significant role in securing the TV deal for her. Originally launched on YouTube in 2011, B'dazzled by Bonang has now been reimagined for television, promising to be more captivating and engaging for viewers. Matheba expressed her excitement about sharing a different side of herself and showcasing the business aspects of her various brands. "After so many years in the industry, I'm excited to share a side of me that is not often seen. B'dazzled by Bonang is an exhilarating combination of the daily trials and tribulations that come with running my businesses with a dose of the dazzle and glamour that my audiences have come to know and love," said Matheba.


SHE BRINGS IN NUMBERS 


Sane Zondi, head of the SABC 3, said Bonang brings numbers and they are excited to work with her. "We know Bonang is a ratings generator and we have seen this on the channel and other SABC platforms before. This new series is one that we have intentionally acquired to garner higher ratings," he said, adding that Bonang was a living example of success and she exudes the same brand values of fiercely achieving your goals, owning your narrative and living an accomplished life that SABC3 champions in all of their audiences. "We hope audiences will be re-inspired to keep pursuing their goals and build an impactful life," she said.
