Connie Ferguson warns fans against scammer using her name

Connie Ferguson does not do crypto

Many celebrities have fallen victim to online scams and social media hackers defrauding their fans of thousands of Rands. Award-winning actress and TV producer Connie Ferguson has alerted her fans against fraudsters using her name to make money through crypto currency.

BEWARE

She warned her fans to be careful of anyone claiming to be her and asking for an online investment. "Beware of scammers. I do not do online trading,' she warned. "I would never ask anyone for money! These criminals are so advanced they use artificial intelligence to video call people using someone else's identity and scam them of their hard-earned money. Do not be so desperate that you ignore that gut feeling that tells you something is not right!.' She said her fans should question everything and do some research! Protect yourself and what is yours. Love and blessings always.'

SCAMS

Celebrities Somizi Mhlongo, Letoya Makhene-Pulumo, Sithelo Shozi and Yvonne Chaka Chaka have fallen victim to scams. DJ and brand influencer Sithelo Shozi reported that a scammer was using her sister's name to take money from booking agents for over two years. The person calls themselves Zekhethelo Kate Shozi and that is Sithelo's sister.
