You might have seen Zinhle trending on Twitter yesterday and probably thought it was DJ Zinhle but no, it wasn't. It was Zinhle, the daughter of Max's Lifestyle Village owner. Max Mqadi has taken a decision to step down from his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) his establishment. Mqadi, who survived a shooting last year when he was shot by unknown gunmen, outside his venue, told Zimoja that he was stepping down to allow his daughter and business woman Zinhle to take over. "After spending the whole year away from my business, I have decided to allow my daughter to take charge. She has been running this establishment ever since my shooting. I want to break boundaries by allowing my daughter to run my establishment full-time," he said.

CONFIDENCE IN HIS DAUGHTER

Mqadi said that he has full confidence in Zinhle as she had been running it for a year. "We have no doubt that Zinhle who has been part of this award winning trendsetter for many years, is not only ready to take this brand to the next level, but that under her stewardship, the future for Max's Lifestyle Village will be even brighter," he said.

FOCUS ON FARMING

Mqadi said that he is planning to focus on the family farm which is based in Pietermaritzburg in KZN. "We are expanding the Mqadi legacy as we will be focusing on producing wine and everything that has to do with farming. I'm not running away from my businesses. I have thought about it this decision," he said.Zinhle also runs a boutique store in Musgrave Centre in Durban. Mqadi  said that he will continue being the Chairman of the establishment but the day to day running of the business will be done by Zinhle.
