Police in Hartbeespoortdam in the North West are looking for a missing 20 month old child. Peter Chungwane from Hartbeespoortdam in the North West went missing while in the care of the nanny.Chugwane resides at Sapas Farm compound in Skeerpoort, close to Hartbeespoortdam.

MOM WENT TO WORK

According to information received it is alleged that on Wednesday, the toddler's mother left him under the care of the nanny and went to work. "We are failing to understand how the child went missing under the care of the nanny when she was the only person taking care of the child. We are not implying that she may have knowledge but it is weird, really weird," she said.

PLAYING WITH OTHER KIDS

It is alleged that the nanny realised that the child was missing while he was meant to be playing with other kids. " The nanny told us that she left the child with her friend but when we went there, there were only two kids. We are failing to understand how the child disappeared," she said. Maria further said that nanny said she  searched for him around the neighbourhood, but he was nowhere to be found. Maria said that the community mobilise a search around the vicinity of Skeerpoort without any success. Peter iwas wearing a maroon hooded tracksuit top. North West SAPS spokesperson  Captain Sam Tsalanyane confirmed the incident.
"There is a case opened of the missing 20 months old child. The SAPS is still appealing to the public to help us find Peter," he said.
