Radio and TV personality Somizi Mhlongo is said to be making a come back on Metro FM after the station let him go in 2021 following abuse allegations by his ex-husband Mohale Motaung. Subsequently Metro FM decided to drop the Somizi from the Ask a man segment in August 2021. ZiMoja can reveal that the station has been in talks with Somizi since last year.  MAJOR CHANGES AT METRO

Metro FM shocked many when they announced the departure of breakfast show host Mo Flava. The station is said to be making several changes and also bringing in new talent. In its latest shakeup, the station has apparently poached Gagasi FM breakfast host Felix Hlophe and 5FM's Smash Afrika for their new lineup. This comes after some big names were reshuffled. ZiMoja can also reveal that Tbo Touch is safe after his contract was renewed."His show brings money, he has the most numbers,' says the source who added that Melanie Son will be joining the afternoon drive to replace the late newsreader Pearl Shongwe.

Metro FM programs manager Siya Fikelephi refused to comment and referred ZiMoja to the SABC. SABC spokesperson Mmoni Seapolelo's phone rung unanswered.
