Reality TV star blames landlord for damages to her expensive designer clothes

Eva says her expensive furniture was also damaged

Trouble seems to follow internet sensation and Diamond and Dolls cast member Eva Modika. If she is not fighting Makhadzi over Master KG, she is fighting slay queens on Instagram or is trending for her hot sculpted body. This time, Eva is fighting with her former landlord after she was forced to move out of the house over a leaking roof and burst pipe. Eva also claims she has endured harassment from her landlord during her stay at one of the most expensive estates in Sandton. She told ZiMoja that she was paying R30 000 monthly rent.

DAMAGED DESIGNER CLOTHES AND FURNITURE

Speaking to ZiMoja, Eva said she had to pay about R50 000 just to fix damaged expensive designer clothes that got ruined because a water pipe burst. "All my luxury designer clothes, and furniture soaked in water, I had to pay for the dresses damaged but I have never complained. I stayed in that place for two years and I couldn't take it anymore. It just kept getting worse with the landlord belittling me while I paid my rent on time monthly without fail," she said.

NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT

It seems like the spat escalated shortly after she was told that she won't even be getting her deposit back upon moving out last week. A fuming Eva says she won't go down without a fight and has already involved her lawyer to look into the matter. "I have just been told I am not getting a dime from my deposit; all this is simply because I am a black young woman. This is not the democracy we fought for in this country where black people are threatened, treated badly and belittled daily. As for me I will fight until justice is served,' she says.

PAYING EXUBERANT AMOUNTS FOR NOTHING

Despite the fact she has been paying R30 000 per month for her place, Eva says the building management had never even bothered to maintain her place. She says her lawn has not been maintained in months instead she has been unfairly treated. "The leaking ceiling was never fixed. All showers have not been working since the day I moved in. Their fridge broke and they made me pay close to R10 000. They been scammed me for years,"

LIVING IN FEAR

Eva also claims that at some point, she did not feel safe in the building after one of the managers made eerie remarks about her social media pictures in a suggestive way. "Imagine the man commented about my profile picture, I was fearing for my life,' Eva claims that she did not see through their luxurious ruse to allure tenants so that they can mistreat them once they are inside. She says the rent amount does not match the standards. "They surely know how to entice people by making appealing pictures, but it is a no no. "From bad non -functioning showers , to endless unresolved issues. The worst place to ever live in,' she adds.

ZiMoja sent the establishment questions but they had not responded at the time of publication.
