Sizok'thola host sets the record straight after scorned ex-lover airs details of their past relationship

Xolani Khumalo says he is all about restoring communities

His show has been topping the trends list on social media every Sunday. He has received mostly positive feedback about how he and his team have been tackling the drug pandemic in South Africa by busting small-and big-time druglords across the county. But with good deeds, also comes the bad. TV host and anti-drug champion Xolani Khumalo has had his past unravelled by a scorned ex-lover who claims to be owed R70 000 by the drug buster.

ALL IN THE PAST

The woman who goes by the name of A Certified Barbie on Facebook revealed how Xolani allegedly owes her money from the time they were dating. "If you're going to share posts with pictures of Xolani Khumalo from that cringe TV show on Moja Love or whatever, please just unfriend me first before you do that because I can't constantly be seeing posts of someone that scammed me an entire R70K pop-up on my timeline all the time and not get triggered," she says. "It's pissing me off, especially how people can just think you are a saint by seeing you on TV not knowing who you really are." Another woman goes on to state that she has "files" on him too.

AN OPEN BOOK

Setting the record straight, Xolani does not deny ever having a relationship with the woman. "We dated for over a year. There is nothing rare about couples giving each other money. But the issue now is that I am on TV," he says. Xolani says he has in no way portrayed a perfect picture of himself and that he long left the relationship and they agreed he would pay back half the money which they used together in happier times. "We used the R70 000 together and we came to an agreement that we would go half in the payment and that I would pay R35 000, and I have kept my word." The TV host says that he has nothing to hide about his past and current life. "I am an open book. I don't have any skeletons to hide. I come from the streets. I have made my fair share of mistakes which I have learned from, hence me working on a show like Sizok'thola that helps to fix our society," he dads.
