Senzo's close friend claims to recognise killer in court gallery

Tumelo Madlala says when cops arrived at Kelly Khumalo's house she didn't let them in and switched the lights off

Kelly Khumalo said to have ordered security at her and Senzo Meyiwa's house to not let the police in. This was said by Tumelo Madlala, Meyiwa's close friend as he continued to give his testimony at the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria yesterday. He told the court that when they came back from the hospital the house in Vosloorus was full of cops and people.     .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                "The scene was cordoned off and the police  confiscated our phones. It was in the early hours of Monday morning when the police took our statements and then escorted us to Mulbarton where Senzo stayed with Kelly," said Madlala.

KELLY SWITCHED OFF ELECTRICITY

He said shortly after they arrived at the house the security at gate called.
"They told Kelly that the police were outside and wanted to see us. Kelly told the security to not let them in. She then decided to switch off the electricity and peeped through the blind."                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Madlala said when Khumalo saw the police walking into the premises she made a sudden call.
" I don't know who she called but shortly after that the police left, I think they got an order. Only then did Kelly switch back the electricity,"said Madlala. He said a few days after the incident, Longwe Twala's father visited Kelly in Mulbarton.
" I can't confirm the exact day Chicco came but me and Kelly weren't well, I had been crying a lot. They were having a conversation but I couldn't hear it clearly but I overheard  Chicco asking Kelly if she doesn't want to go overseas for a holiday."

READY TO POINT OUT SENZO'S KILLER IN COURT

Days went by and I was called into the police station for an identity parade to point out Meyiwa's possible killer.
" I didn't recognise any of the people there so I didn't point out anyone, said Madlala.
State prosecutor Advocate Baloyi asked if he could see Meyiwa's killer in the court gallery.
" I was ready to point him out yesterday. I was annoyed to be in the same room as him, that's why I asked for a break yesterday," Madlala responded.
The defence Advocate Mshololo asked Madlala to bring his flight ticket to court tomorrow but Baloyi said he does not see the relevance.
Court has adjourned to tomorrow Morning.
