Ukhozi FM radio deejay and actor Selby "Selbyonce" Mkhize has rubbished claims that she was brutally assaulted and had allegedly borrowed DJ Twenty money. Selby, who has appeared on both Generations The Legacy and Imbewu, told Zimoja that the Facebook account, named after him, kept posting hurtful and unfounded messages about him hurting after he was allegedly dumped.                                                                                                                                                                                                       "I have been getting a lot of calls about this account named after me. What is so painful is that many people are wondering if I am heartbroken and if indeed a said deejay boyfriend really broke my heart. I'm not on Facebook. That page has a large number of followers and that is why people think it belongs to me. I'm not the owner of that page, someone is pretending to be me and I have tried numerous times to report it," said the weekly drive time co-host alongside Tshatha Ngobe.

CATFISHING

In some of the posts that Zimoja has seen, the account holder posted: "Wathi angomboleke R200 000 manje akasafuni nawo and usengiblockile (He asked me to borrow himR200 000 and now he has blocked me)." Another one reads: "Uzenza imotivational speaker kanti ngalana uganda inhliziyo yami (You're out here pretending to be a motivational speaker yet you're tearing my heart apart)." Another read, "Ngelinye ilanga wangishaya ngempama loyaDJ wenu ( At some point that deejay slapped me)."

A WASTE OF ENERGY

Selby said that she was made aware of the ongoing posts through her colleagues. "I'm not at work because I took some days off. I was surprised when I received calls asking me why I'm not at work and if it was because I had breakdown after I had a fight with my so called boyfriend, whom they say is DJ Twenty. I know DJ Twenty through social media and that he is also an Ukhozi FM listener and not on a personal level. I have also called him about these allegations and he laughed," said Selby who lost her fianc? Sipho Maluleke in 2018.

TARNISHING HIS NAME 

On Thursday,DJ Twenty posted on Facebook page: "Sanibonani,ngiqeda ukuthola a call from Selbeyonce. Ngicela ukunitshela ukuthi akana page leznto ezibhalwa abantu bathi ngamshaya , ngathatha imali yakhe , bazama ukuwisa igama lami (Hi everyone, I just got a call from Selbyonce and I would like to inform you that she has no Facebook page and the things that are written there that I assaulted her, took her money, are means to to tarnish my name)."
