Prince Kaybee partners with foundation to mentor boys

It was an exciting day for young boys as they got to interact with award winning producer and DJ Prince Kaybee. Real name Kabelo Motsamai, the Club Controller hitmaker took some time off from his busy schedule to team up with Boyz 2 Men Foundation owner Nick Nzama in mentoring young boys to become better men. The event took place on Monday in Hillcrest outside Durban, KwaZulu Natal. More than 60 young boys from different schools in the Umlazi, KwaMashu, Clermont and Inanda township attended the event.

PAST MISTAKES

Prince Kaybee spoke openly about his past mistakes of chasing money and neglecting his family. "Many people are not aware that I am Mopedi from Limpopo, but I grew up in the Free State. Growing up I always had this goal of making so much money to the point that I began neglecting the most important people in my life, which is family. We want money but we have to be vigilant of not losing important people in our lives over money. Money is everything but you will never enjoy your money if you are going to spend it only on yourself, without your family members who appreciate you. That" ngiyabonga" word from your family goes a long way," he said.

BOYS ENCOURAGED TO RESPECT WOMEN AND THEIR BODIES

He advised young boys to respect their bodies and to stop using women as a tools for sex. "I have made some mistakes which I am working really hard to correct. Some of my peers never got an opportunity to fix their past mistakes and do better. This is why I want to emphasize  young boys to respect women, this will help them be better men in the future. You will see that respect goes a long way once you have your own kids," Prince Kaybee added. He also encouraged the boys to focus on their education and learn to speak out if they are being sexually abused. Prince Kaybee further advised the youth to use their talents to make a living for themselves. "A good talent is the one that goes hand in hand with a qualification. Use your talents to make a lot of money but don't make the mistake of abandoning your education because as they say education is key," he said. Boyz 2 Men fonder Nzama said he was happy that Prince Kaybee had offered to come speak to the young boys about life in general and offered to speak some sense to young boys.
