Former Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini recently turned 60 years old and threw a birthday party surrounded by family, friends and political allies. Past and current politicians reunited in KwaZulu Natal to celebrate the struggle icon's 60th with the theme being black.
A LAVISH GATHERING
Despite having declared bankruptcy in April after being found guilty of perjury in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court, she still went ahead to celebrate the milestone. The guest list read like a RET meeting register, with suspended Secretary General of the African National Congress (ANC) Ace Magashule, Mzwandile Masina, and Nomvula Mokonyane in attendance. Former Metro FM presenter and TV personality Chriselda Kananda, also made the cut, so did radio personality Alex Mthiyane.
FRIENDS AND FAMILY HELP TO CELEBRATE
Bathabile who was accompanied by family members looked gorgeous in a gold designer dress. Zweli Mkhize described Bathabile as a woman of strength and a wonderful and loyal friend. The swanky party was held at the Amazulu boss' wedding venue,in Howick, in the Midlands.
The day's menu was fit for a queen with goodies including a three course meal which included one-of-a-kind expensive rare steak.
