Mo Flava finds a new home at 947

Mo Flava joins 947

After being unceremoniously dumped by Metro FM last month, it did not take much time for Mo Flava, real name Moeti Tsiki, to find a new home. Mo Flava will be joining 947 to host its weekday mid-morning show from 3 April. After spending eight years on Metro FM, the seasoned radio presenter will take over Msizi James' show at the Sandton-based radio station.

ANNOUNCING HIS LAST DAY AT METRO FM

Early this month, Mo took to Twitter to remind listeners to tune into his show, Wake Up on Metro FM. "Good morning! Hope you're ready for the day ahead. Today will be my last show on Metro FM." He added that he didn't know what his, "last show was supposed to sound like." Metro FM said in a statement at the time that they had a" mutual agreement" when they parted ways with MO. The DJ said then, "I am looking forward to exploring the new opportunities I have lined up in radio where I will continue to express my talent. I am also excited about TV opportunities on the horizon." he said as he bid farewell to his listeners.

LOOKING FOWARD TO HIS NEW LISTENERS

Mo said he was looking forward to experiencing every part of the 947 world. "I can't wait to meet the listeners and the 947 team. This is an opportunity for me to do radio at the highest level.' he said. Station manager Ravi Naidoo said that Mo's experience and style makes him the perfect fit for the team. "We look forward to the unique flavour as the station continues to refresh to remain relevant and relatable for our listeners.'

PEARL MODIADIE ALSO JOINS THE STATION

Another popular face to join 947 is fellow media personality, Pearl Modiadie, who will be the call presenter. On February 1, the radio station secured the services of the much-loved, legendary sportscaster, Robert Marawa. The former Metro FM, Supersport and SABC presenter has already garnered a huge following on his Marawa Sports Worldwide on 947 from 6 pm, on weekdays. As Mo takes over the midday show, Msizi James will team up with Bolele Polisa on weeknights, Monday to Thursday from 7 pm to 10 pm.
