They brought South Africa one of the biggest Amapiano songs. They were one of the first artists to bring Amapiano music onto the radio and have everyone from all walks of life singing along. Hitmakers Kammu dee, Miano, and Semi Tee once had the entire country doing the same dance routine to their song Labantwana Ama Uber. However, at the height of their careers, the trio fell out and pursued individual careers.

WHY THEY SPLIT

 After the trio parted ways, Miano made claims of being exploited and side-lined by his management team. He spoke out saying his managers Thato Molemane, director of Levels Entertainment, and AbutiPR owner Lebo Mlangeni. "My issue was with the management and hardly with the boys. They wanted to take 60 percent on all bookings while I get 40 percent, and this included royalties. The percentages were too much, especially for royalties. So, I left to do my own thing. I wasn't going to be exploited.' Miano has since released his own music and features other artists such as Robot Boii, Sbhanga, and 20ty to name a few.

WORKING AS A TRIO

 According to a close friend, the former besties were never in a group but had done most of their musical collaborations and people assumed they were a trio. But when their friendship ended, it also affected their music and brought a decline in their popularity as a trio. "They were known and loved as a trio, but when they went their separate ways, their careers took ad dip and were not really popping anymore,' the friend says. "Kammu dee, Miano, and Semi Tee worked well as a trio, once they were their separate ways, no one cared to listen to them as individuals because they brought something different as a group that everyone could relate to.' Lebo Mlangeni at Jozi Entertainment who is the trio's former manager who is the label owner of Mthandazo Gatya who recently collaborated with John Legend says that the chapter of his life is closed. "I have long close that chapter of my life, we are onto other things now,' he says. "The guys were never a group anyway; they were working today but as individuals.'

REUNITING

The Gabadiya artists are set to make a comeback as a trio. According to a highly placed source, they are considering getting back together and performing more as a duo. "They are still working on their differences,' she says. "There are talks of potentially making music together. They are cordial, they can hang out now unlike before when they were not talking.' The trio had their first performance together in over two years on Sunday, 5 February at Obitz lounge in Rosebank, Johannesburg. "They still had amazing chemistry on stage, and we hope they fix whatever differences they had so they can tackle serious issues and go global,' the source adds.
