Jimmy Mzwanele Manyi has resigned from the African Transformation Movement to join the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). Manyi, who is known to be pro-Zuma, announced his resignation from the party he joined in 2019 on Friday morning.

Your credentials speak volumes and we are more than confident that you will make a massive contribution to the success of the struggle for economic freedom in our lifetime," he said. In 2018 Malema said Manyi needs to take a break from politics because his reputation was tarnished while Floyd Shibambu referred to him as "Jimmy the Gupta errand boy'
