Seasoned Radio and TV personality Penny Lebyane has parted ways with Honey TV. After two seasons, Lebyane, who was the host and producer of spiritual show #SangomaKhanyisa, will no longer be part of the show and confirmed this in a statement.
"I have come to the decision to depart from the show, in pursuit of opportunities that I had put aside," she says adding that when she joined the show it was in order to ensure that the presentation of African spirituality was authentically presented.
FULFILLING A PERSONAL MISSION
According to the outspoken and fearless Lebyane, when she joined #SangomaKhanyisa she saw an opportunity to be part of content creation that would give dignity and humanity to our African spiritual practices.
"Importantly, for me, the ask came at a time when we as a people were dealing with the effects Covid-19 had on our mental wellness and wellbeing. With these two seasons, I have fulfilled my personal mission, which is to contribute and advance the conversation/narrative on where mental health and African spirituality meet,'
Lebyane wrote, adding that, "I hope that the show continues on the path of instilling African spiritual values authentically and gives healing to those who are wounded spiritually.'
CONTINUE WITH HER JOURNEY IN MEDIA
Lebyane who owns Township Girl Med production says since completing the show she will up on the work that she had put aside, and continue her journey in both radio and television broadcasting, along with new and exciting projects that she will reveal in due course.
