Last week four criminals tried to rob a shop owner in Hillbrow in Johannesburg and the owner shot and killed one suspect while others managed to run away. If you thought the ordeal would end there, it didn't as the surviving criminals decided to avenge the death of their friend. On Wednesday, the surviving thieves returned to avenge the death of their friend. 

AVENGING THEIR FRIEND'S DEATH

A shoot out ensued and again the shop owner managed to kill another suspect again before they killed him and one of his workers.Another employee is in fighting for her life at a local clinic.According to a well placed source the thieves who tried to rob the shop are also from the same area. "It was like a movie. They wanted to avenge the death of their friend The shop owner died a hero as he fought the thieves from last week until his last moment," said the source.

SAPS Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed the incident but did not divulge much on the matter. "Three workers from a store in Joubert Park, Hillbrow, were sitting inside the car after they had closed the store. They were approached by three males who fired shots at them. The passenger fired back at the suspects and injured one of them. The two victims in the car succumbed to injuries while an elderly woman sustained injuries and was rushed to the local medical care centre. Upon arrival at the crime scene, police found an injured suspect lying on the ground, with an unlicensed firearm next to him. The suspect was immediately arrested. The motive for the shooting cannot be confirmed at this stage. A case of murder and attempted murder was opened for investigation said," he said.
