IFP set on dominating KZN...again

Sandile Mdluli is a member of the Inkatha Freedom Party and writes in his personal capacity

The dominance of IFP in every bi-election in the province of KwaZulu Natal can be attributed to many things and also the ever present failures of the ANC to deliver on the mandate of service delivery. What makes Inkatha popular all of a sudden and the rejection of the ANC? One cannot shy away from the fact that while he was Premier of KZN, Sihle Zikalala threw King Misuzulu under the bus just after the reading of the will, stripping him of bodyguards and State vehicles and the ever presence of the SAPS in all royal palaces.

PARTY CHANGES GEARS

The IFP embraced Isilo and the Zulu Prime Minister acted with integrity and protected the King, We all saw how Shenge became the darling of everyone including non IFP members but who are proud Zulus. King Misuzulu is much loved and this is through tireless efforts of the Prince of KwaPhindangene and by default the IFP is riding smoothly on that wave and thus winning bi-elections. Second to that is the fact that going to 2021 Local Government Elections, the party changed its gears and presented a campaign that nobody has ever imagined from the IFP, which was more appealing to young people. Today it has a large number of Municipalities under its control to which it uses them as a model that depicts what it would do if given the province.

ANC CLAIMS IFP IS BUYING COUNCILLORS

I understand that there was fear in the wake of allegations of killings within the party but till today, there has not been any tangible evidence suggesting indeed it's  within. The ANC, out of really not knowing what to do after each rejection from the public, has jumped to mud slinging the IFP and claim that it is corrupt and also buying councillors to resign so to force bi elections. I find it absurd that the IFP can offer someone R2 million while still having to campaign for bi-elections, which winning is solely dependent on the people of that ward in question.

?

Even a child that is still struggling to speak properly knows that the ANC has failed and has nothing new to offer. What is left is for the IFP to make sure it delivers to voters in every municipality, so that the public can remember that when rallies are over it's time to thank the public through service delivery and seeking everyday solutions to publics concerns.
