Metro FM jock Sabelo ?DJ Sabby' Mtshali's fans and followers were worried when he announced on social media that he had taken time off radio after a short health scare on Tuesday. DJ Sabby said his doctor booked him off work after a health scare. "My health took a bad turn after my show yesterday.The doctor has advised me to take today off. Won't be on the air today, God willing I should be back tomorrow," he wrote.

IT'S LIKE A TRAIN HIT HIM
After one day off, Sabby has since returned to radio andr eassures his fans that he is doing okay. "I didn't take time off in December, I took leave in the first week of January and I got back this Monday." He tells ZiMoja that it was on Tuesday after his show that he started feeling a little bit weird. "I felt tired, fatigued and had pain in my back and a slight headache. It's like a train hit me," he says, adding that he went home and called his doctor. "My doctor said I caught a bug. He told me it was a sign of exhaustion. I took Wednesday off, and got an injection and medication, which is what I am on now." DJ Sabby is taking things easy and not pushing himself too hard. "I am taking it easy. I am not over-exerting myself and over-committing to all the other responsibilities. I am playing it cool right now and controlling my stress levels. I think I should be okay soon. I am back on the radio, and I appreciate the concerns."
2022 WAS A BUSY YEAR FOR SABBY
He has worked hard to earn his place in the world of radio.In 2021, he left Y FM after a decade and embarked on a new journey at Metro FM.During the last holiday season he continued to present his Metro FM Top 40 show while also standing in for Tbo Touch on the Afternoon drive time slot. At the end of last year, he also married his partner Lindi Sirame in a traditional wedding ceremony. The couple met at YFM where Lindi worked in the newsroom while he was a weekend DJ at the station.
THANDO THABETHE ALSO HOSPITALISED
Hard work and lack of rest seem to be taking a toll on South African celebrities. Actress and 947 radio host Thando Thabethe has also informed her fans that she is not feeling well and has been put under hospital care. "Was so excited to be back on air.I'm a man down, hopefully, will be back and in better health tomorrow. @FlaxTheDJ will be holding 947 Drive With Thando till then," she first shared. She later updated her fans that she had been admitted to a Joburg hospital. "I'm in the hospital, trying to get better to be back." The year 2022 has been a busy year for the radio deejay. She recently appeared on How to Ruin Christmas 2 while balancing her women's line Thabooty and her weekday radio show.
