TV actress Zoe Mthiyane has hit back at the wife of her ex-husband ,Pretty Samuels-Morake. This comes after Lebo M's current wife penned an open letter calling out Mthiyane, after the actress made allegations that co-parenting with Lebo M was a mission impossible In a letter Samuels-Morake, who calls herself Mrs M, wrote that Mthiyane was an absent parent. "In my efforts to maintain the dignity of my family, but mostly importantly to protect the wellbeing of our kids, I have chosen to remain silent. But given the severity and nature of these allegations I can no longer remain silent whilst my children are attacked and associated with such defamatory statements in the media. I would like to categorically deny that we have a co-parenting plan with Zoe Mthiyane. The matter regarding the child has always been addressed legally by the relevant forum,' the statement reads.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

Samuels added that the circumstances that led to the child being taken away from Mthiyane were as a result of her being arrested, after she was involved in an accident  driving under the influence of alcohol.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    "After the tragic accident the courts gave my husband custody of the child and ordered Mthiyane to undergo rehabilitation and therapy so that she may one day be considered a fit mother. Our daughter has been in my husband's care for the past few years and her primary residence is with us. She further said that Mthiyane last spent time with her daughter around Mother's Day  in 2021 after Lebo M initiated the visits.

FALSE NARRATIVES

Responding to the Samuels-Morake, Mthiyane says this is a very sensitive issue.                                                                                                                                              "This is a sensitive topic involving my minor child. I would like to caution the current wife against believing and acting upon the false narratives that her husband has created about myself and others as a means to continue the abuse I escaped 7 years ago. Unfortunately in this case my child is just collateral damage. My primary concern now is that my child has been exposed to different step mothers every year and how that may affect her. I am ,however, not moved by her stunts and this behaviour as Pretty Samuels has rebranded herself from Pretty Mthiyane, who was convicted on charges of fraud.  I love my privacy and I am a quiet person but never mistake that for stupidity. Let people enjoy their relationships and leave my name out of it. They are aware of the true nature of the situation so they should not try manipulate the public to make themselves look innocent at my expense,' she said. Mthiyane praised her other child's father, sports presenter Robert Marawa, as an amazing parent compared to Lebo M.
