Gugu Khathi, wife of DJ Tira, is not taking the cheating allegations made against her by gender activist Slindile Khumalo light. ZiMoja has learnt that Gugu has decided to sue Sli after she accused her of cheating on her husband with Tebogo Lerole of the Kwela Tebza band during a motoring event in the Eastern Cape two weekends ago.
THE RUMOURS HAVE TAKEN A TOLL ON HER FAMILY
Over the weekend, Gugu and her husband DJ Tira Khathi told ZiMoja that they were not bothered by the rumours but when the matter started trending and people started tagging the DJ, it became too much for them. According to a source close to the situation, Tira trusts his wife hence they want to prove a point. "The issue is no longer a laughing matter, it is serious, remember Tira and his wife are brands, and they will do anything to protect the brand they worked hard for,' adds the source.
TIRA EXIT DURBAN ARTIST PROMOTER'S WHATSAPP GROUP
According to another source, DJ Tira exited the Durban artists Whatsapp group which consists of artists and promoters in the city. This, according to the source, is after Sli's voicenote to Gugu where he accuses her of cheating was shared in the group. "It was shocking when he left the group because he is one of the people who are instrumental in the group, and his opinions matter, we were all taken aback when he just exited' adds the source. Sli told Zimoja that Lerole tried to force her to share a hotel room with his partner so that he could sleep with Gugu during their trip. An angry Gugu refuted the claims and challenged the activist to a physical fight in the boxing ring to resolve the matter.
TAKING LEGAL ACTIONS
Speaking to ZiMoja, Gugu says she is is currently consulting with her legal team to work out the best way possible to deal with this matter. "I am definitely suing her,' she said. Meanwhile, DJ Tira also responded to the claims and revealed that he was not bothered. He stood by Gugu since the rumours emerged. He said he was not moved by social media gossip because he trusted his wife. Responding to the legal action, Sli said: "I'm patiently waiting for them they know my address and my number or my email ,'
