The deputy principal of Kagagatlou Secondary School in Ga-Mphahlele in Limpopo who is accused of having sexual relationship with a learner was beaten to a pulp by the local community.According to a. reliable informant, the incident where the community beat up the principal took place in Ga-Mphahlele after a video clip showing the deputy principal of the school having sex with a learner started circulating.

VIDEO MAKING THE ROUNDS

It is alleged that other learners who saw the video, took it and showed it to their parents. "Upon seeing the video some members of the community mobilised each other and went straight to demand the deputy principal. The angry mob was unstoppable as they beat the deputy principal until they undressed him. "Some members of the community wanted to burn him alive. He was rescued by cops who were called by other teachers who felt sorry for him," the reliable source said.

NO CASE OPENED

Limpopo SAPS spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba said no case that has been opened against the said educator.Limpopo Department of Education spokesperson Mike Maringa said that the department is aware of the video clip of that is making rounds on social media. "The educator  who was allegedly assaulted, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a learner at the school where he works. The matter is receiving urgent attention and the department is taking the allegations very seriously. We are currently following on the matter to establish facts," said Maringa.
