Actor and socialite Sipho Masebe is still finding it hard to come to terms with the passing of his 20-year-old son, Thando Khumalo. The 20-year-old died in a road rage in incident, He was shot mafia style at the back of his head. Peter Mphulo Magolego appeared for the murder of Khumalo at the Alexandra Regional Court but his case
was postponed to 7 November.He was appearing for the third time in court.
SHOT AT THE BACK OF HIS HEAD
Thando was with his four friends when he was killed in Alexandra township.The police say Thando's murder resulted from a road-rage incident when Magolego and his friends, known as Benito, and the boys exchanged words over a nasty driving incident and the accused is alleged to have pulled out a gun.
When the boys realised, he was armed, they jumped out of the car they were travelling in and ran away while the accused and his friends gave chase and caught up with Thando, whom they beat up to a pulp. Magolego allegedly shot him in the back of the head, which saw Thando dying on the spot.

A HARD-HITTING PAIN
His family say Thando was a humble boy who was business-minded from a young age. He ran a thriving dog food and sneaker-cleaning businesses and was doing so well at school too. When he was killed, Thando was doing Grade 11 at Sandtonview High School. Masebe says losing his son has to be the most difficult thing he has had to face in his life. "I've lost people in my life, lost my parents but this pain hits differently. I feel empty and helpless"
Thando died while his father was travelling in Malawi for business. "I feel robbed, guilty and helpless because a part of me feels that had I not travelled to Malawi maybe in someway Thando would be around with us."
