A helluva of a hectic week in the world Trevor Noah

South African born Trevor Noah is leaving the much coveted job at The Daily Show after a seven year stint. Noah took over the show in 2015 after the exit of Jon Stewart. "We have laughed together, we have cried together. But after seven years I feel like it's time," Noah said to his studio audience on Thursday night."

GOING BACK TO HIS FIRST LOVE

The video clip was posted by the Daily Show on social media and it was number 1 on the trends list worldwide. Noah further revealed in that clip that he wanted to spend time on his stand up comedy profession. "I spent two years in my apartment not on the road. Stand up was done and when I got back out there again I realised that there another part of my life that I want to carry on exploring," he said before thanking viewers for being there for through thick and thin.

COMING TO SOUTH AFRICA

True to his passion for stand up comedy, Trevor will be coming home next year for a comedy tour courtesy of an alcoholic brand associated with comedy gigs. "We believe comedy is a human right and that South Africans' superpower is our ability to laugh in the face of challenges. Our purpose as a brand is to uplift and unite our nation through humour," Eugene Lenford, the Marketing Manager of the brand said in a press statement. "We knew that bringing Trevor back home would show just how far we are willing to go for this industry and, naturally, our community. Siyavanna South Africa, we see you."
