Uncle Waffles on Kenya concert flop!

Uncle Waffles disappointed in Kenya

She has travelled to almost every country in the world playing her music and never publicly complained about treatment or safety. DJ Uncle Waffles, real name Lungelihle Zwane, was recently booked at the For The Love Of Amapiano concert in Kenya, which did not go well. The Eswatini star has come forward to voice her disappointment with the event's sound and organisation.

NOT SAFE

The Wadibusa star stopped her set midway to address the issue. "There are too many problems happening on stage. I can't hear sh*t. I don't want you guys to say I came and didn't play; it's not my fault,' she said. "I am here; they are not fixing it but I am here.'

ADDRESS

She later, in a statement, addressed the sound issues and how her team was ill-treated. "What has disappointed me most though, is how my supporters were treated by the organisers and security at the event,' she said. "People were pushed around, mishandled and treated with the least amount of care and that is something I will not stand for,' she said, adding that the safety of her fans was compromised and asked the promoters to do better next time. "To the event organisers, you have not only disappointed me but also let down the 10 000+ people who came out in support of this event. I urge you to do better if you have any desire to continue putting events together in the future. Kenya, I hope to see you again soon with a much better outcome. It was fun while it lasted, you were all an amazing crowd," she added.
