He is working on returning to the music scene. Super producer, genius composer and multi-award winner Terry Pinana is planning a big comeback after staying away from the limelight following his divorce from actress, singer, and media darling Keabetswe "KB' Motsilanyane.
TIME OUT
After his highly publicised divorce from KB, Terry said he never stopped making music. "I will never stop. Music is the essence of who I am.' Despite the bad publicity, he continued to work behind the scenes. Three years ago, Terry left Johannesburg to look after his ailing mother in King Williamstown in the Eastern Cape. While there, he was assisting at the Miriam Makeba studio in East London. But he is longing for the big city again. "My mom is okay now and she is in Pretoria, so I am looking at relocating back to Johannesburg.' He plans to work with his child. "Our child is 18 years old, we have a big responsibility. We are almost stuck together as co-parents for life and we are good,' he said referring to his relationship to the star who captured the hearts of rugby fans during his performance of the national anthem at the rugby match where Springboks played against Ireland.
NEW MUSIC
Terry said he and KB are planning to release music together. "This time I will not just be a producer, but I'll be doing a collaborative project together featuring other artists.' He also plans to release a series of projects. "I am returning in August, setting up a studi, and getting back to doing what I love. I have spent enough time reflecting on what it is I would like to achieve currently in the music scene.' Terry started his music career in 1995 hosting the Afternoon Drive Show at Cape Town radio station, Bush Radio, and later went on to join P4 radio, before moving to Johannesburg to start Silk T Production. Terry has worked with award-winning artists including TKZee, KB, the late Magesh, Adilah, Gugu Shezi, DJ Siyanda, and international acts such as Osunlade, and Harrison Crump. He has also written music for TV programs such as Backstage's theme song, the Gazlam 1 soundtrack and other TV shows. He currently co-owns Jameson Records and Heist Entertainment.
