Fake letter on Teboho Mokoena's Al Ahly trials makes round on social media

A fake letter has gone viral claiming Teboho Mokoena missed out on an opportunity because of his political stance

After Bafana Bafana received the bronze medal at the AFCON, they landed in South Africa and were welcomed by fans at OR Tambo International Airport. Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Tebogo Mokoena, who was awarded the Man Of The Match unapologetically and publicly expressed his support for the Economic Freedom Fighter president Julius Malema while making his acceptance speech at the airport yesterday.



 

HIS FAVOURITE PRESIDENT

 

While making his speech, Mokoena described Malema as his "favourite President in South Africa." Defender, Grant Kekana supported Mokoena's statement saying, jokingly that he might dump his team due to this. "Teboho Mokoena just became my favourite player. I might dump Kaizer Chiefs for Sundowns because of him. His favourite President Julius Malema is also my favourite politician in the world."

 

MISSING OUT DUE TO POLITICS

 

Now a fake statement has gone viral on social media, claiming that Al Ahly has cancelled scheduled trials for Teboho because he supports Julius Malema. Teboho currently has a contract with Sundowns until June 2026. The source of the statement is unknown and uses an outdated logo. Teboho was unreachable for comment.
