Traditional regalia including leather skirts, izidwaba and amabheshu were the order of the day as celebrities, A-listers and government officials attended the premiere of Shaka iLembe. 

SIX YEARS IN THE MAKING

Shaka iLembe is set in the 1700s and tells the story of the making of Zulu kingdom and the story of Shaka Zulu. The production has been six years in the making, consulting historians, academics, and family descendants, including the incumbent King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, as well as the late King Goodwill Zwelithini.
