Intaba Yase Dubai apologises to Big Zulu over exploitation accusations

Intaba Yase Dubai has apologised to Big Zulu

Afro pop singer and songwriter Intaba Yase Dubai has apologised to Big Zulu over the conflict ignited by the song Imali Eningi. In 2022, the artist, who was under Ambitiouz Entertainment, claimed that despite the song's popularity and over 12 million streams, he had not received any payment for it.

THE BEEF

Intaba Yase Dubai., who co-wrote the hit song titled Imali Eningi, where Big Zulu featured him and the late Ricky Riky, said he was sorry to have fought the rapper over that song.

In 2022, Intaba Yase Dubai, real name Lindokuhle Msomi from Maphumulo in KwaZulu Natal, took to social media and accused Big Zulu's label, Inkabi Records, of exploiting him. "Imali Eningi has reached over 12 million streams but I'm broke. Never got even R1. It's so painful to work hard, only to become broke and watch other people benefit from your hard work. You have to act like we are all okay while only one individual is. F**k features!!" he wrote.

APOLOGISING TO BIG ZULU

The Ngiyamthanda hitmaker said that Big Zulu had good intentions for him before their fallout. "I would like to apologise to anyone that I had a beef with. It wasn't my intention to fight with people or use vulgar language. I'm not proud of what I did and my past experiences have taught me that I cannot walk alone. Every person needs that one person to grow. I'm sorry to anyone that I hurt," he said.

He further said he doesn't hate Big Zulu or his record label. "I don't have any issues with him. He never stole a cent from me or robbed me of any money. The only person who robbed me of my money was the person who accepted it from him but never gave it to me," he said referring to his former boss at Ambitiouz, Kgosi Mahumapelo. "Big Zulu had good intentions and I took out my frustrations on him. I regret ever signing a recording deal, I should have stayed at home and released music without any recording deal. Please stop going around speaking ill of Big Zulu. It's time to let bygones be bygones," he said. Big Zulu ignored our calls and WhatsApp messages.
