She left her leading role as Agnes on Muvhango a few years ago. Since then, she has not had many acting gigs prompting actress and motivational speaker Millicent Makhado to pursue other streams of income. The fan favourite has ventured into influencing and online marketing on her social media page to help small local businesses grow but also earn a living.

BUSINESS VENTURE

The actress told ZiMoja that she will look into acting in the new year. However, she is currently helping online businesses to market themselves using her 175k followers on Instagram. "I do social media advertising for businesses. I have a lot of people who support the businesses I advertise because they trust me," she said.

MARITAL ISSUES

This year, Millicent revealed that she found out that her husband had fathered a child outside of their union, while she was hoping to have more kids with him. She admitted to not being strong enough to handle the situation. "Unfortunately, a beautiful baby boy was conceived behind my marriage back, turning one in April. I found out yesterday," she said. "Yes, I am very strong but even the other woman is strong. I speak also for the lady who is involved in this situation." The actress also opened up about leaving an abusive relationship in 2021. "When I finally left my abusive relationship, I went home back to my mother. Your family is always there for you, I know it might be hard to believe but they will love and take care of you," she said at the time.
