Wedding bells are ringing for prominent sangoma Gogo Maweni and her husband Sabelo Mgube. The first leg of the couple's nuptials will be at Maweni's parents' home in Ormonde in the south of Johannesburg, with the final leg in Durban, KwaZulu Natal where Sabelo is from.

FEELING GREAT 

According to Maweni, the wedding in Ormonde will be a small affair since her mother will not be attending. She would not be drawn into the reason why her mother not attending the wedding. She told ZiMoja that she was feeling great, anxious, and nervous. "This is a big step for us; this has brought our families together, and my dad has been excited and supportive," she said. She also told ZiMoja that she will be getting married the Shembe way, and then later on in the day, they would have a white wedding. "Later, I am going to change into my gown for the fancy part of the ceremony,' she said.

EXPECTING A BABY

The couple is expecting their first baby together after going through a successful IVF. She confirmed the news of her fourth child on Instagram in May. "Feeling fat lasts nine months, but the joy of becoming a mom again lasts forever,' she wrote. She told ZiMoja previously that she felt the three boys she had were enough. "I have proven that I'm a mother and I can have children. Fortunately, I met someone who loves me and who I am married to. So, it's only natural for me to bear children for him," she said.
