A police officer, who refused to be dumped, shot and killed his ex-fianc? after he found her with a new boyfriend at her home. The gruesome murder took place in Mbali township in Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu Natal on Sunday evening.

GRUESOME KILLING

It is alleged that the police constable went to his ex-fianc? where he shot the lovers in cold blood before turning the gun on himself. The constable was found with a gun wound to his head still holding the gun. His ex, a teacher, was found in the bathroom, naked and bleeding from the head, she was declared dead on the scene while the boyfriend was found lying next to her with a gunshot wound and still alive. He later succumbed to his injuries in hospital. 

PROTECTION ORDER

It is alleged that there was an existing protection order against and police officer which the cop previously violated and was arrested. KZN SAPS spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said, "Police in Plessilaer are investigating two counts of murder and an inquest docket following an incident in which three people were found lying on the floor with bullet wounds inside a house at Imbali Unit J"
