Today marks the 26th birthday of rapper J Molley, whose real name is Jese Mollet. The rapper has opened up about his mental wellness struggles, copious suicide attempts and how he almost gave up on life, leading up to his birthday.
MENTAL HEALTH
The Life Or Death rapper shares his gratitude after surviving over 20 suicide attempts. "As I go into my 26th birthday, I am reminded of the grace of God,' he said. "Over 20 suicide attempts, eight being this year alone, and I'm still here; it's nothing short of an absolute miracle; I'm here,' he said. "I was the last person who could have been convinced of Christ and here I am. Now that my barn has burnt down, I see the moon. All praise to the most high, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Not my will, but his will be done.'
DEPRESSION
Earlier this year, in an apparent suicide note, he wrote how he was counting down to his death. "I'll be dead in 30 minutes," he said. It's already done. No one knows where I am and nobody can save me. No one cares though. Bye guys," he wrote. "It's already done, guys. I'm in the process of dying. I can't be saved. It's too late,". Although some said it was just a cry for attention, he continued to say it was his last day on earth. "Guess I was wrong about today being a better day. I didn't realise it was my last," he added. "Look at all the jokes. You wonder why I'm about to be dead? It's not hard to figure out. As a human with an IQ of 156 Mensa Certified, I have to live amongst these people with IQs of 80."
