DJ and fashionista Oscar Mbo was scheduled to perform at the Yebo God Summer event on 2 November, at Noko Resort in Limpopo alongside Mörda, QScotch, Miggs, Dibbz, Mathata, Flavor, Bhuts Tunz, Kulani, Daxx, Ephy DJ and Red. But two days before the event, it had to be cancelled due to safety concerns from the organisers and his team following alleged threats.

THREATS

Oscar Mbo has gone under fire the past month after two incidents between him and two Limpopo artists Makhadzi and Kharishma on separate occasions. The first incident was when he allegedly removed Kharishma from the stage at an event, which he later apologise for. The second was a misunderstanding between him and Makhaddzi over performance times at a concert. He allegedly removed her memory stick from the sound system while she was on stage. This brought backlash, which he later clarified and he and Makhadzi shook hands. However, the fans of the two Limpopo singers have not taken the news lightly despite him apologizing.

CANCELLATION

The event organisers said in a statement, they had looked at options for replacing Oscar Mbo, but time is not on their side. "We would love for the event to happen but also consider the safety of other people at the venue,' they said. "We are not only dealing with threats to the individual but also some directed at the venue. We humbly appeal for you to allow us to find a suitable date when we can all have a safe and enjoyable experience," the organisers said in a statement.
