Founders of gospel outfit, Joyous Celebration, have disputed that there is trouble in paradise. But according to a source, cracks are starting to show between Joyous Celebration founders; pastor Mthunzi Namba, Lindelani Mkhize and pastor Jabu Hlongwane as Mthunzi allegedly been nowhere to be seen by the choir in almost two years.
UNOFFICIAL EXIT?
According to the source, Mthunzi does not even come to the recordings and was allegedly last seen at the recording of Joyous 25 about two years ago. A source close to the group says they are in the dark as there is no official word from above.
"No one knows what is happening. It’s as if he made an unofficial exit from the choir and members are confused and even scared to ask,' says the source
But miraculously Mthunzi was apparently spotted about two weeks ago during Jabu’s album recording, supporting his friend.
"He is clearly cool with Jabu if he can travel all the way from Durban to Jozi. Perhaps he has issues with Lindelani?, the source enquires.
EXIT OF MAJOR SPONSOR
Zimoja has also learnt that their sponsorship of more than 14 years with MTN came to an end last year. During their album launch this Easter in Durban, they were supported by a bank. The main sponsorship is yet to be revealed during their Joburg leg of their tour next month.
Spokesperson of the group, Jabu, denied the allegations, citing that Namba is still very much part of the group.
"Yes, he is still a part of the group,' he said.
