King MisuZulu has emphasised that there is no beef between him and Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi

Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini Zulu has rubbished the claims that there is ongoing beef between him and Zulu Prime Traditional Minister Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi. This comes after Buthelezi announced that he will have an urgent imbizo with all the chiefs in Richards Bay on Friday in KZN.

ATTEMPTS TO SOW DIVISION

Reports have emerged that Buthelezi wanted to vacate his position as the Zulu Traditional Prime Minister but Misuzulu has distanced himself from the allegations and said that there was no bad blood between him and the IFP leader.

"I would like to unequivocally state that there is no bad blood between myself, in my capacity, with our Traditional Prime Minister Umntwana KaPhindangene. These are blatant attempts by opportunists who wish to to drive division between Royal Family. Ngiyawukhuza lomkhuba, wuyekeni (Stop this worrisome behaviour!)" he said.

NEW BOARD FOR INGONYAMA TRUST

Misuzulu further pleaded with the Zulu nation to support him in his latest appointments. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing chairperson of Ingonyama Trust, Jerome Ngwenya, who has served as the leader of this institution diligently with the sole purpose and interest of bettering the lives of all. It is a pleasure to speak to my father’s people about the issue of the appointment of the new Ingonyama Trust Board by the Minister of Land and Rural Development Thoko Didiza," he said. Misuzulu further used today’s address to announce the new board members of Ingonyama Trust.

NEW BOARD

iNkosi Thanda Mzimela, as new chairperson of the board taking over Ngwenya, welcomed Advocate Linda Zama as the new deputy chairperson while Inkosi Mabudu Tembe, Dr Thandi Dlamini, Nomusa Zulu, Dandy Matamela, Inkosi Phalleng Molefe, Inkosi Sibonelo Mkhize and Lisa Del Grande were announced as the new members of the board.

"As a king I have a deep opinion about the future of my father’s nation and the use of the land. In this land controlled by the trust there are mines that produce minerals and businesses that operate on our people’s land but those who live in those areas do not benefit anything from them. I would like to assure you bantu bakaMdlokombane that this land will not be sold. Like I said before nibezwe but ningabalaleli (Hear them out but don’t listen to them)," he said. On Tuesday iNkosi Thanda Mzimela distanced himself from the allegations that Buthelezi does not want him on the Ingonyama Trust Board.

"I am not in a position to comment on issues relating to Ingonyama Trust. I don’t know the allegations of tensions between me and ubaba Buthelezi," he said.
