First, it was House Music duo Black Motion, made up of Bongani Mohosana and Thabo Mabongwane; then the Amapiano duo, Amaroto-Reece Madlisa and Sabelo Zuma, who went their separate ways. Now, dynamic Amapiano duo Murumba Pitch, with members Thabang Innocent Mangolo and Emmanuel Nanga Manthye, have announced their split.
PARTING WAYS
The group was founded in 2012 by rapper Chifo Charge, who handed the reins over to Thabang, and they took it internationally. They have collaborated with some of the biggest stars in the country, including De Mthuda, Nkosazana Daughter, and Kabza De Small, to name a few. However, after many wins, the duo will no longer be working together following what a close friend reveals as "the breaking point," he said. "Friends and colleagues fight; it's normal, but they just reached a breaking point where they can't resolve matters. They have different visions; I think they fulfilled their purpose as a duo; it was maybe the right time to just pursue solo careers."
THE END
The Wena Dali and Esangweni hitmakers confirmed the separation, and the news brought them sadness. According to the duo, the decision was made after a meeting on 6 March, where they reached a mutual agreement to terminate their partnership and contractual relationship with immediate effect. "The decision marks a new chapter, and both parties are respectively committed to moving forward independently, focusing on new opportunities and future endeavours," they said in a joint statement. "Additionally, the parties will be working together to ensure a fair and amicable settlement of the division of business interests in the Murumba Pitch Brand." They have halted all bookings involving the duo. " Thabang went on to emphasise that they would still perform for those who booked before the separation. "Those who have booked us for the future should not panic; we will still rock. We also have new music coming out; we are right here."
