Somizi Mhlongo's ex-husband, Mohale Motaung, has dismissed his personal assistant, Ferreira Munoko, popularly known as Suisferreira, who also doubles up as a stylist, fashion designer, and influencer. This is allegedly due to a conflict of interest, battling for the throne, and financial challenges.

DISMISSED

The abrupt dismissal comes months after Mohale closed down his Fusion Cocktail bar and restaurant in Melville, Johannesburg, after defaulting on rent for a few months. A close friend said times have been tough for the Marketing and Economics graduate who put two and two together and realised he needed to downgrade. "He will be back on his feet," the friend said. "We all go through tough times. After the divorce, he got work, but things have been dry for a few months now, and he had to let staff go, and that includes the PA," the friend added." The recent decision to terminate his personal assistant Suisferreira's contract comes after three years of serving diligently. The friend said they parted ways in March. "Mohale hired Siphesihle Khumalo first, who was Somizi's PA. He left in 2020, and he hired him to work at Fusion because Somozi fired him. Ferreira has been working for Mohale since 2021 as a stylist, creating his brand content and sometimes editing too, but he never got credit for it, but that's a story for another day," said the friend.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Another friend said the termination occurred due to conflicts arising from the assistant allegedly securing personal brand deals and creating a brand identity for himself. "The assistant had more hyper-visibility than before working for Mohale, which may have led to concerns about potential conflicts of interest," the source said, adding that the assistant's growing profile and involvement in brand engagements became a point of contention for the media personality. "Ultimately, this resulted in his dismissal. But it all happened so abruptly and without warning, without a one-month notice period, and without receiving any payment for the few weeks it worked." When called for comment, Suisferreira told ZiMoja, "I can't talk." Mohale has not responded to our text messages or calls.
