Media personality and businesswoman Minnie Dlamini found herself embroiled in a battle of words with popular vlogger, Musa Khawula - famous for his provocative and degrading writing style. The untimely passing of popular former Multichoice executive, Nkateko Mabaso, gave Khawula reason to yet again come in and attack Dlamini in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
DISRESPECT TO NKATEKO'S FAMILY
Khawula wrote, "Minnie Dlamini's lover Nkateko Mabaso passed away. Minnie Dlamini cheated on Quinton Jones with Mabaso. Nkateko Mabaso was the CEO of M-Net for years before he was appointed as Netflix's director of licensing and co-productions for Africa. Nkateko Mabaso had used his position to set Minnie Dlamini up with jobs at DSTV.'
In a surprising move that is a departure from her usual no-clap back policy, Dlamini reacted to Khawula's post with her post which read; "I thought you said I cheated with Edwin Sodi? Now it's Nkateko Mabaso? Which one is it? Who is next? Let it go bro, damn. This is incredibly disrespectful to my friend's family and his memory. People are mourning, you have no shame.'
Ntsiki Mazwai known for her equally scathing opinions and for interrogating the credibility of South African celebrities added her bit by reposting with a comment "Side note: this Nkateko name sounds so familiar "… fueling the insinuation further.
HER BITTER DIVORCE IS DRAINING HER
A close associate of Dlamini's shared that the actress is really tired of her name being dragged in with every man of high standing. "She's far from perfect and like many people has made mistakes. But her focus now is her son who will one day grow up to see all these things about his mother," the source said. Speaking to ZiMoja, Dlamini said: "Musa is a psychopath and I hope he burns in hell." When asked if she intended to take the legal route, Minnie said: "I am going through a very ugly divorce. I can't waste money on that guy. He has no money. What am I going to get? I am raising my son alone, with no financial support. I can't just throw money away to prove a point," said Dlamini.
Khawula was recently served by ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula's wife, Nozuko, with a cease and desist letter after having written what she noted were lies about her. Lerato Kganyago has previously also gone into legal battle with Musa Khuwula, who states outright that 'I am broke'.
