Minnie Dlamini and her best friend Azola Mona, who is also her manager, have parted ways. The pair have been friends since their Durban High School days and have been there for each other through thick and thin, from being her best woman as she walked down the aisle to her divorce.

NO MORE SOCIAL SUPPORT 

According to sources close to the situation, the two have not liked nor commented on each other's posts since mid-November, around the time the beef apparently started. One source close to both ladies shared: "Minnie has a serious issue of going through managers like she goes through her champagne. She really devalued Azola's contribution towards her public persona." Minnie had previously used the services of her older brother, Maphe Dlamini, as manager since parting ways with Sarit Tomlinson in 2018. In late 2022, Azola was officially brought onto her team to assist with marketing and PR. "Azola is very good with marketing and has brand knowledge. She earned an honours degree in that field. Her mom, who's a respected business developer, is also a great source of guidance. For Minnie to demean and portray her to her newly rekindled old-Durban friendships as a hanger-on and groupie is just deplorable," said another close friend.

SHE IS DOING HER 

Those close to Azola state that the marketer and content creator is not fazed at all by the demise of her long-term friendship with Dlamini, as she continues to garner more clients for herself. "Azola is living her best life, as she's always done. One of Minnie's biggest mistakes is this idea that she is the ride to the good life, yet of all her varsity friends, she's the one with a lesser privileged background and the one who dropped out while they all completed their degrees," added the source. Many in their friendship circle believe that Minnie also resents Azola's budding sisterhood with Nadia Nakai and Nomuzi Mabena. Another mole went on to explain that "Minnie's very possessive of her relations. If you're friends with her, you can't appear close with others. Azola is a free spirit that doesn't take on Minnie's industry beefs. " That's also another big issue for them, as Minnie's always on guard about her secrets coming out and her In Nomuzi more than Nadia. At the end of the day, computers crash, relationships die," added the source. Both Minnie and Azola declined to comment.
