Cabinet Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams and her businessman husband Thato Abrahams have gone Hollywood-style by announcing their split through a joint media statement today.

THE ANNOUNCEMENT

In a short statement the couple wrote, "After 11 years of marital union, It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to mutually and amicably end our marriage." While there were allegations of cheating by Thato with a member of the ANC Youth League five years ago at their matrimonial home in Silverton, Pretoria, the couple didn't mention the reason for their marriage breakdown.

NO LOVE LOST 

The statement added: "While we both will always have love for one another, we have decided to go our separate ways. We part ways with mutual respect for each other and we remain good friends. We will cherish the memories we have shared together as husband and wife." The two got married in a lavish wedding in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape in 2012. Thanking the family for being supportive, they said, "We appreciate your positive support as we move forward and start new chapters." they said in the statement adding that,"Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and we appreciate your positive support as we move forward and start new chapters.Thank you for your for your prayers and well wishes,".
