Julius Malema has committed that he and his party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), will not cause any disruptions during the first session of the National Assembly, which is taking place today.

During a media briefing in Cape Town, Malema emphasised that their main focus will be on representing their voters. He stated, "We have made the decision not to play a disruptive role in the first sitting. Instead, we will engage robustly and peacefully protest on the streets for issues that have been illegally rejected in Parliament." He said they have resorted to peace and won't be seen acting otherwise as per usual. "You will not see us fighting any bouncer. We are here as a 10-year-old organisation with mature parliamentary politics, well-experienced to make sure that the views of those who vote for us are well-represented," he said.

Malema called out the people who always ask help from the EFF when it comes to racism, unemployment, load shedding, and other service delivery issues but gave their votes to the ANC. "The people of SA must swallow what they have decided to chew. They decided to chew 40% of the ANC, that's what they said they wanted. They chose load shedding and Ramaphosa, the highest level of unemployment and racism. From now onwards when you say there is a racist at our work, we check the historical tweeting of yours; if you have been tweeting ANC or DA, go and fight with those white people alone," he said.
