The Johannesburg High Court has put brakes on Makhosonke Themba 'Grootman' Selahle from distributing sex tapes between himself and former girlfriend and social media influencer, Gcinile Rosetta Twala. The "revenge porn" between the former Instagram famous couple has been making news and trending on all social media platforms since the beginning of the week. After leaking the first sex tape, Grootman also threatened to release more.
AN URGENT MATTER
The matter was heard on an urgent basis yesterday and Grootman was also ordered to pay costs to Twala's attorneys. Twala was represented by Advocate Mathari Manyisa in this matter that shook the country after the release of the first sex tape. To make sure that Grootman desists from posting or distributing more videos and photos, the sheriff was granted leave to serve him by way of substituted services, an email and WhatsApp text. Judge Mareena Lani Opperman, who presided over the matter, also ordered that the sheriff of the court serves Grootman's mother Ms Mathekethe Selahle in KwaGuqa Location, Witbank in Mpumalanga with the interdict documents to pass it onto her son.
HE IS NOT ALLOWED ANY CONTACT
The order is also to be posted on the Instagram feed and the Twitter timeline of Grootman, for his awareness as ordered by the court. Judge Opperman also granted several orders against Grootman, which included interdicting and restraining him from: "Posting and/or publishing any photos or videos of the applicant (Twala) of any nature. Publishing, disseminating, circulating, distributing, and in any way disclosing to any third parties, whether directly or indirectly, any photos or video recording or any portion thereof, or stills thereof, in his possession which depicts the applicant engaging in sexual activities or made. Harassing, sending any messages containing the applicant to threaten and intimidate her in any manner, whether directly or indirectly." The couple who has shared their relationship on social media have a daughter together.
