Things seem to be going well for AmaZulu FC striker Bongani Ntuli who is the son-in-law of the club’s boss. While most players in the club are stressing about whether their contracts will be renewed or not, ZiMoja has learnt that his contract with the club is set to be extended when his current contract ends at the end of this month. The newly wedded Ntuli, who got married to Amazuku CEO Sinenjabulo a few weeks ago, was offered another year extension. "I am not sure whether he has already signed but I know that he had a meeting about his contract and was happy about the outcomes, while other players are crossing their fingers," says another source. The 32-years old striker is said to be over the moon and determined to stay on at the club.

SOME PLAYERS ARE ENVIOUS

According to another source, Ntuli has been loyal to the club and he and management are happy with his consistent performance, but according to sources close to the situation, some players are envious. There are even talks that the fact that he is married to the CEO of the club helped to influence the decision. "Look obviously there will be talks, especially because they just got married the other week and now he is signing a contract. It is only natural to think that he "secured a bag" but either or they were going to renew his contract because he is good at what he does,"

NEWLYWEDS ARE NOT BOTHERED

Another source says the two love each other and still enjoy being Mr and Mrs Ntuli, they are not bothered by rumours or small talk.

According to the source, things became even more awkward after chairman Sandile Zungu announced on Monday that Lehlohonolo Majoro’s contract wouldn’t be extended. " Anyway it is human nature for people to gossip, they started comparing Ntuli with Majoro saying it should have been the other way around," adds the source. According to the source, whether people talk or not, nothing will change because Ntuli will be signing a new contract soon."He is a good player. He is a very important member of the club and at the end of the day, it is up to the management to decide who stays and who goes," the source adds. Addressing the media yesterday, Zungu made it clear that he won’t go into details about the contracts until players are able to secure jobs with other clubs. â€?"We are not a vindictive club, I won’t mention players’ contracts until they are able to secure jobs from other clubs,” But he did mention Lehlohonolo Majoro’s departure who he described as a great player who made a difference in Amazulu," he said.
