Solly Moholo needs donations for brain surgery

Solly Moholo needs urgent surgery

Gospel star Solly Moholo is seriously ill and needs an urgent brain operation. Moholo's condition deteriorated after he was admitted to a Botswana hospital over the weekend. His management has announced that he had to be rushed to a South African hospital on Wednesday. Moholo, real name Solomon Molokoane from Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, fell sick after performing at an event promoting his new album Wubani O zo Pepeza.

CURRENTLY IN ICU

According to Moholo's management, he is currently in the ICU at an unnamed South African hospital and doctors discovered that he urgently needs a brain operation. His team is also asking for donations so that he can get the brain operation, which is costly. It is not clear yet if the Die Poppe Sal Dans hitmaker is suffering from a brain tumour or not. They did not disclose the kind of illness he is suffering from. His team said in a statement: "In this difficult time, his family, team, and friends need your assistance in helping our legend make it. Any amount of money would be highly appreciated." His family has also asked for prayers.

ATTEMPT ON HIS LIFE

Earlier this year, Moholo revealed during an interview on Gogo Skhotheni's The Venting Podcast that he was once depressed in 2017 when he stopped getting gigs, adding that he made an attempt on his life. The singer admitted that he once ate rat poison but spat it out. "Things became heavy. I'm not a pretender. Things were not coming together. I didn't even get visitors. I was feeling isolated. Shows were not there. I wanted to eat Rattex. I once saw these other guys and wanted them to lend me a gun to shoot myself. It was hard," he said at the time.
